MOTHER
This is a truly BEAUTIFUL piece please
read this at a slow pace, digesting every word and in leisure...do not
hurry
..this is a treasure...
For those lucky to still be blessed with your Mom,this is beautiful. For
those of us who aren't, this is even more beautiful. For those who are
moms,
you'll love this.
The young mother set her foot on the path of life."Is this the long
way?"
she asked. And the guide said: "Yes, and the way is hard.
And you will be old before you reach the end of it. But the end will be
better than the beginning."
But the young mother was happy, and she would not
believe that anything could be better than these
years. So she played with her children, and gathered flowers forthem
along
the way, and bathed them in the clear streams; and the sun shone on
them,
and the young Mother cried,
"Nothing will ever be lovelier than this."
Then the night came, and the storm, and the path was dark, and the
children
shook with fear and cold, and the mother drew them close and covered
them
with her mantle, and the children said,
"Mother, we are not afraid, for you are near, and no harm can come."
And the morning came, and there was a hill ahead,
and the children climbed and grew weary, and the mother was weary. But
at
all times she said to the children," A little patience and we are
there." So
the children climbed, and when they reached the top they said, "Mother,
we
would not have done it without you."
And the mother, when she lay down at night looked up at the stars and
said,
This is a better day than the last, for my children have learned
fortitude
in the face of hardness. Yesterday I gave them courage. Today, I've
given
them strength."
And the next day came strange clouds which darkened the earth, clouds of
war
and hate and evil, and the children groped
and stumbled, and the mother said: "Look up. Lift
your eyes to the light.
"And the children looked and saw above the clouds an everlasting glory,
and
it guided them beyond the darkness. And that night the Mother said,
"This is
the best day of all, for
I have shown my children God."
And the days went on, and the weeks and the months and the years, and
the
mother grew old and she was little and bent.
But her children were tall and strong, and walked
with courage. And when the way was rough, they lifted her,for she was as
light as a feather; and at last they came to a hill, and beyond they
could
see a shining road and golden
gates flung wide. And Mother said, "I have reached the end of my
journey.
And now I know the end is better than the beginning, for my children can
walk alone, and their children after them."
And the children said, "You will always walk with
us, Mother, even when you have gone through the gates." And they stood
and
watched her as she went on alone, and the gates closed after her. And
they
said: "We cannot see her but she is with us still. A Mother like ours is
more than a memory. She is a living presence......."
Your Mother is always with you.... She's the whisper of the leaves as
you
walk down the street; she's the smell of bleach in your freshly
laundered
socks; she's the cool hand on your brow when you're not well. Your
Mother
lives inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in
every tear drop. She's the place you came from, your first home; and
she's
the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love
and your first heartbreak, and nothing on earth can separate you.
Not time, not space... not even death!
PASS THIS ON TO ALL THE MOTHERS & CHILDREN YOU KNOW.MAY WE NEVER TAKE
OUR
MOTHERS FOR GRANTED...
Pass it on to the men too because they have mothers too....
Don't know if this was actually written

message is good!

Written by an
Australian Dentist...
To Kill an American
You probably missed it
in the rush of news last week, but there
was actually a report that someone in
Pakistan had published in a newspaper an
offer of a reward to anyone who killed
an American, any American.
So an Australian
dentist wrote an editorial the following
day to let everyone know what an
American is . So they would know when
they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!)
"An American is
English, or French, or Italian, Irish,
German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or
Greek. An American may also be Canadian,
Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese,
Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian,
Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan.
" An American may also be a Comanche,
Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho,
Apache, Seminole or one of the many
other tribes known as Native Americans.
An American is Christian, or he could be
Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact,
there are more Muslims in America than
in Afghanistan. The only difference is
that in America they are free to worship
as each of them chooses.
An American is also
free to believe in no religion. For that
he will answer only to God, not to the
government, or to armed thugs claiming
to speak for the government and for God.
An American lives in
the most prosperous land in the history
of the world. The root of that
prosperity can be found in the
Declaration of Independence, which
recognizes the God given right of each
person to the pursuit of happiness.
An American is
generous. Americans have helped out just
about every other nation in the world in
their time of need, never asking a thing
in return.
When Afghanistan was
over-run by the Soviet army 20 years
ago, Americans came with arms and
supplies to enable the people to win
back their country!
As of the morning of
September 11, Americans had given more
than any other nation to the poor in
Afghanistan. Americans welcome the best
of everything...the best products, the
best books, the best music, the best
food, the best services. But they also
welcome the least.
The national symbol of
America, The Statue of Liberty, welcomes
your tired and your poor, the wretched
refuse of your teeming shores, the
homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact
are the people who built America.
Some of them were
working in the Twin Towers the morning
of September 11, 2001 earning a better
life for their families. It's been told
that the World Trade Center victims were
from at least 30 different countries,
cultures, and first languages, including
those that aided and abetted the
terrorists.
So you can try to kill
an American if you must. Hitler did. So
did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao
Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty
tyrants in the world. But, in doing so
you would just be killing yourself.
Because Americans are not a particular
people from a particular place. They are
the embodiment of the human spirit of
freedom. Everyone who holds to that
spirit, everywhere, is an American.
Please keep this
going!
Pass this around the
World ?
Then pass it around
again.
It says it all, for
all of us
